Arbiters from 60 countries took part in the idChess webinar

Arbiters, coaches, and representatives of chess federations from France, Belgium, Oman, Hungary, Bahrain, India, Serbia, Zambia, Venezuela, Mexico, Italy, Great Britain, Ukraine, Tunisia, Ghana, Andorra, Croatia, South Africa, Pakistan, Poland, Egypt, Dominican Republic and from other countries took part in the training for using idChess.

The founder of idChess, Petr Chernyshev, spoke about the possibilities of idChess for chess players, arbiters, and coaches. He noted that the idChess platform had passed the FIDE Technical Commission and provided tournament organizers and chess federations with all the opportunities for convenient and easy-to-manage broadcasts of games. The video assistant referee helps arbiters make decisions in controversial moments in the game. Both unlimited broadcast opportunities and VAR functionality are included in the idChess license — nothing else is required.

Talapker Damir, executive director of Kyrgyz Chess Union, performed at the webinar. He shared his experience of using idChess. He said that the idChess platform in Kyrgyzstan had been used in November 2022 at a tournament among players with visual impairments. In July 2023, VAR was used for the first time in the world at the Asian Schools Chess Championship in Kyrgyzstan.

In the second part of the webinar, Said Bataev, a product manager, demonstrated step by step the way to create a tournament, connect phones, and turn a video referee on. The setting took no more than 10 minutes.

All webinar participants received free licenses for the idChess application and an access to the tournament organizer account. The account allows creating and managing tournaments, storing information about games and players, and more.

idChess is already used in more than 150 countries around the world. Last week, tournaments with idChess took place in Mexico, Italy, Kazakhstan, and other countries.
